Fairchild Semi turns down higher buyout bid; to stick with ON Semiconductor deal

Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc. FCS, -2.71% said Monday that the $21-per-share unsolicited buyout bid it received last week from an undisclosed party was not "superior" to the already agreed-on deal with ON Semiconductor ON, +2.12% Fairchild said it would continue to support the deal with ON, which was agreed on Nov. 18, for $20 a share.
