Kaspersky Lab CEO: The Internet of Things means 'Internet of Threats'

Kaspersky Lab CEO Eugene Kaspersky said the emergence of various connected devices - otherwise known as the "Internet of Threats" - means a new level of threats.

"For us, it will mean 'Internet of Threats,'" said Kaspersky during a lunch meeting with technology reporters in Boston on Monday. The well-known Internet security firm, based in Moscow, has its U.S. headquarters in Woburn, where it employs about 300 employees out of a total of 3,000 worldwide.

Kaspersky said security flaws in many of these devices - from cars to coffee machines - are inevitable.
